EDUCATION NEWS Public school student wins private school tuition from NYC
Under the Individuals with Disabiites in Education Act (IDEA), a school system is mandated to provide "adequate" services for all children including those which learning issues. Each year the NYC Department of Education (DOE) must pay the private school tuition for those children the DOE is unable to provide adequate school services.
